We would like to wish everyone a very happy Madiba day!

In the spirit of community upliftment, we are proud to be able to offer a little support to the the MAPD’s (Mpumlalanga association of persons with disabilities) social development section.

They will be assisting Phendukani Siye Diepdale Protective Workshop, in Mpuluzi a rural area of Gert Sibande today, with starting a vegetable garden.

The Protective Workshop is an income generating project for people with disabilities who cannot obtain employment in the open labour market. The beneficiaries get together and engage in different activities that may generate an income for the project.

In commemoration of Mandela Day, the MAPD will be assisting the project with starting the Garden. The vegetables produced will be used by the project when they prepare meals daily as well as sold in the local community to generate an income.

For more info about the MAPD’s social programs or to get involved, contact Katherine Mahodeo at socialwork@apdmpumalanga.org

A very big thank you to our friend Adri at farm in a box for putting us in touch with the MAPD and I’m sure Katherine and the team would like to thank her for her knowledge and advise to the project. Contact Adri at adri@farminabox.co.za.

From all of us here at Davley Organics, we would like to encourage everyone to do a little something today. How will you spend your 67 minutes?
